Divine Jesus
bless all my friends with every grace
guard, protect and defend all those
who have been good to me
and to whom I am indebted
bless my parents
my family and my relatives
Lord, I also pray for all those
whom I have promised to pray
that your blessing be with them
and your love surround them
bring all of us
to your heavenly home
where we shall sing you praises forever
vouchsafe, O Lord
to reward with eternal life
all those who do us good
for your name's sake.

Praise God for this gentle Love
Beyond our understanding
For this Love that conceived you.
A perfect child
Beautiful, unique and whole
For his Love
That longed to share with you
The wonders of creation
For his Love that waited
For just the right time
For just the right parents,
For you.

But something happened
Before you were born
The sin in this world
Attacked your small life
Weakening, dimming
Your bright little spark

God had to decide
On the more loving course
To heal you in this life
And let you be born
Or
To call you to himself
To hold you in his arms
And to heal you with a kiss

It's hard for us to understand
Why God healed you
The way he did
Ofteh we wish
That you were here
That you didn't die so young

Ecology And Our Redemption

O Jesus
desire of the eternal hills
you rend the heavens
and come down to walk
with man in the garden
of the earth
to walk on the restless sea
and calm a troubled world.
all creation groans with pain
condemned to lose its purpose
because we have sinned
choosing to defy your Father's Law
in our own nature and in his world
renew now the face of the earth
restore all things in heaven
and earth to the Divine design
O Holy Carpenter of Nazareth

Lord
teach me to be self-effacing
avoiding vanity or
pushing my personality
on others or
making a vulgar display of my body,

my successes
give me the lowliness
of the Blesssed Virgin Mary
and strengthen in me
all that safeguards
your gift of purity
through Christ our Lord.

Lord,
may I accept the things
I cannot change
have the courage
to change the things
I can and should
and your wisdom
to know the difference.

Prayer For Salvation

My God, since I believe that you are and that you are a rewarder of those who seek you, their reward exceeding great, I come to you for the salvation of my soul, the outcome of my faith. I am but dust and ashes and fear to fall into the hands of the living God. With fear and trembling I work out my salvation, striving for justice, self-control and charity. I believe your mercy is above all your works, your promise of salvation is to those who persevere and perfect love casts out fear. Have mercy on me, a sinner, through Jesus Christ my saviour. Amen.
