Lord
teach me to be self-effacing
avoiding vanity or
pushing my personality
on others or
making a vulgar display of my body,
my talents or
my successes
give me the lowliness
of the Blesssed Virgin Mary
and strengthen in me
all that safeguards
your gift of purity
through Christ our Lord.
